Our First Shower

This weekend, Sam and I made a trip down to Dothan for a friend's wedding and our first wedding shower! The whole weekend was kind of a blur because we were running to things non-stop, but it was still a lot of fun to see family and friends. I hadn't been in home in about 8 weeks, which Sam can tell you, is pretty long for me, so it was about time! The shower itself exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Our neighbors threw it for us, and they had tables set up around their pool, with candles lit, awesome food, and a dessert table! It was amazing! My neighbor told me that he asked my little brother Austin(16) to come help set up the tables for the "party" earlier in the afternoon. He came right over and midway through helping said, "Wow, this looks like a big party, who's it for?" They found it pretty funny that my own brother didn't even know he was helping set up for a shower for his older sister! Might I also ad that this is the same brother who every time I tell him what his responsibilities are for the wedding, he quickly proclaims, "I Quit!" haha. I told him he can't quit, that's not an option!

I'm back in Nashville, and looking forward to the next two weeks of my internship. I'm really trying to just be here and enjoy it, and not get so anxious about being finished and getting home. I just know I have so much to do, and I can't really help my mom that much because she's 8 hours away! So, I'm trying not to beat myself up about that. Plus, I really miss Sam...

Love is patient.
